Well that took longer then I like to admit!
What can I say, it has been a short while since I posted the announcement trailer, and while I have been working on the project it has taken me a lot longer to get one small thing done. What was that you might ask?
Well, simply it was the modeling and rigging of a single weapon! this is not something I have really done before and while I am satisfied with the state of the current weapon I am by no means completely happy with it. I am somewhat of a perfectionist, I need to make sure the look, feel, and plays right.
So what made this weapon take so long? Well I molded, rigged, textured, and animated it from scratch the weapon also has a live ammunition counter on it so getting the scripting right to show it was a challenge in its own right but it works and it looks ok...
So for now as it stands I will leave it as is and get stuck into the massive pile of other things I have lined up for the game, learn a bit more, and revisit the weapons at a later date. One is enough for now!
